Hunger Games is the story of Katniss Everdeen, a young woman
living in post apocalyptic North America. Her District
is controlled by a highly modernized Capitol called Panem that exploits its
twelve districts for their resources and man power. Every year to remind the Districts
that they are subservient to the Capitol, one boy and one girl between the ages
of twelve and eighteen are chosen to compete in a Gladiator like fight to the death.
Katniss is chosen and must decide between doing what the Capitol commands her
to do or what she knows to be right.
